Kaunas Faculty of Humanities implements international projects, and organises publishing of international inter-university science journals. Intensive spread of cross-cultural experience is ensured with the implementation of scholars’ and student exchange programmes. The faculty joined Erasmus student exchange programme in 2003. Erasmus exchange programmes offer students great opportunities to familiarize with study models used in other European universities, obtain both experience of foreign language studies and diverse social experience. 36 bilateral cooperation agreements with European universities and higher schools have been signed. Students who aim at gaining experience of studying abroad can go to Austria, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Spain, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey, etc.
Since 2007, students of Kaunas Faculty of Humanities are allowed to practice in the Member States of the European Union under the Erasmus student exchange programme.
There are Erasmus programmes developed for teaching and scientific staff. Lecturers of the faculty go to European universities under the Erasmus Teaching Staff Mobility programme. During visits scientific and pedagogical cooperation ties with foreign partners are developed, teaching and research, or methodological experience is imparted and examined. The mentioned agreements allow lecturers and scholars from European universities visit Kaunas Faculty of Humanities as well.
